About Us

Carey Brothers commenced trading during World War Two - on the 4th November 1944 in the small township of Yangan, situated 18km east of Warwick.

Carey Bros purchased a shop at 39 Locke Street Warwick in 1962 and quickly gained a reputation for selling the best quality meat in the district.

In 1984, Carey Bros was given an opportunity to open a retail outlet in Warwick's first shopping centre - The Rose City Shopping World. This new butchery soon became a popular and convenient location for customers. In 1987 Carey Bros purchased the adjacent shop in the shopping centre and commenced trading as Carey's Delicatessen. This venture steered Carey Bros to expand its range and continue to specialise in producing superior smallgoods including leg ham, silverside, kabana, cheerios and chicken loaf.

Carey Bros has built its reputation by selecting, processing and selling only prime beef, lamb and pork which is produced on local farms in the rich Darling Downs Region.

In 2011 Carey Bros had several varieties of smallgoods entered in the Brisbane RNA Show competition winning a first place and two seconds. However the real excitement was winning the State Sausage King RNA Award for our pork sausages.

Perhaps the greatest testament to this family business is the loyalty shown by its customers. Ex Warwick people moving to locations such as Brisbane, Gold Coast,  Stanthorpe, Texas & Inglewood have created a demand for a Carey Bros delivery to the door service to these cities. Over the years Carey Bros has remained a thriving business synonymous with quality. Try it for yourself!!
